How to Make a Smart Link for a Song
A smart link is one address for a song that opens a small page with its artwork and a button for each music service. Your listeners choose Spotify, Apple Music or wherever they listen, and you share one link instead of a different one for every service and every post.
Before you start
Have the song title, the artist name as it appears on the services and the cover artwork ready. Collect the service links that are already live. If your distributor gave you a UPC for the release or an ISRC for the song, keep those to hand as well.
Steps
Create the smart link
Open Smart links in your Beatro dashboard and create a new link for the song. Add the title, the artist name and the artwork. These are what a listener sees first, so check the spelling against the release on the services.
Add the music services
Paste each service link that is live for the song. Add the UPC or ISRC if you have them. From release day Beatro looks for Apple Music and Deezer destinations and keeps looking during the first seven days. Clear matches can be added; uncertain ones wait for your approval.
Check it on a phone
Publish the link and open it on your phone. Press each button and confirm it opens this song, not another version or another artist with the same name. Most people will open the link from a social app, so the phone is where it has to work.
Share the one link everywhere
Copy the generated address from Smart links. It sits under your Beatro artist address or your own connected domain. Use it in posts, your link in bio, your newsletter and your website, so every place sends listeners to the same page.
Check
In the first week after release, open the link again and add any service that has appeared since. If a service link changes, update it in the smart link once; every post that shares the address then follows the change.
