How to Share Unreleased Music With Selected Listeners

A listening page gives a recipient the project details and tracks in one place. Decide who should hear this version and what they need to do with it before creating the link. A short, deliberate running order is easier to review than an unexplained folder of files.

Before you start

Prepare the intended audio versions, track titles, artwork and a short project note. Decide whether recipients need downloads or only browser playback. Confirm the access options available on your plan.

Steps

  1. Create the listening project

Open Private listening under Promotion in your Beatro dashboard. Add the project title, artwork and a note explaining the version and the response you want. Include your reply address or preferred contact route in the message you send with the link.

  2. Add and review the music

Choose tracks from Music or upload audio through the editor. Put the tracks in the order you want heard. Play each entry to check that its title and audio version match.

  3. Choose access and downloads

In Access, choose anyone with the link or a shared password. Individual recipient passwords are available on eligible plans. In Listener actions, choose whether downloads are offered. Streaming without a download button does not prevent someone from recording playback.

  4. Publish and test the recipient view

Publish your changes and open the shared link in a separate browser session. Check password entry, playback and any download you enabled. Send the working link with a short explanation of the project and the feedback deadline.

Check

Before sharing a new version, check the live page again. If the project should no longer be available, use its publishing controls and verify the recipient link no longer plays it.
