How to Plan a Record Label Website Around Your Roster

A label homepage should explain the label and give visitors a short route to each act. Prepare the public artist destinations alongside the label page, so a roster card leads to current music and useful information.

Before you start

Gather the label’s name, introduction, approved imagery and current artist addresses. Confirm which acts should appear publicly and who is responsible for keeping each artist’s page current.

Steps

  1. Prepare the artist destinations

Review each artist’s public site for its current name, image, music and contact information. Keep the artist’s own identity clear. A label roster does not replace those individual pages.

  2. Organise the roster

Use Beatro’s roster tools for the artists your label manages. Follow the existing invitation and agreement flow where an artist needs to join. Check accepted membership rather than assuming an invitation has completed it.

  3. Build the label homepage

Choose an available label layout and add a concise introduction and current imagery. Arrange the public roster and other content around what a visitor needs to find, then review the page in the editor.

  4. Check the published journey

Publish the label site and open it on a phone and desktop. Follow every visible roster link through to the artist page. Check that names, images and destinations belong to the same act.

Check

When an act joins or leaves, review the public label page as well as the internal roster. Keep the introduction and artist destinations current before sharing the label address.
