How to Make an Electronic Press Kit
A useful electronic press kit helps a promoter or journalist decide what to do next. Give them a short introduction, music they can hear, photos they can use and a clear contact. Prepare it for one audience rather than putting every piece of your history on the page.
Before you start
Gather a short biography, current music links, cleared press photos and a booking or press contact. Confirm you can share each image and name any required credit.
Steps
Choose the story
Write a short opening that identifies the act, its sound and the release or show you are pitching. Follow it with the most relevant credits or recent work. A booking pitch and an album review pitch may need different emphasis.
Build the kit
Open Press Kit in your Beatro dashboard. Add your biography, music, photos and contact information. Use the available sections to put the strongest material near the top. Remove empty sections rather than filling them with vague claims.
Make the assets useful
Choose a current portrait and a landscape photo where available. Include a credit in the accompanying text. Check that music links open the intended release and that the contact address belongs to someone who will answer.
Preview and publish
Review the kit on a phone and a desktop, then publish it and copy its public link. Open that link outside the editor. Send the link with a short explanation of why the recipient might be interested.
Check
Before each pitch, check the release date, contact details and every listening link. Update the existing kit when details change so the shared destination remains useful.
