How to Connect Your Music Website Domain
Build and review the artist website before changing its address. Once the pages are ready, connect a domain you own using the values in your Beatro settings. Your domain provider continues to manage the domain registration and DNS.
Before you start
You need access to the domain’s DNS settings and a Beatro plan that supports custom domains. Keep a record of the current DNS entries, especially any used for email.
Steps
Finish the public site
Publish your music, biography, contact details and the sections you need. Check the existing Beatro address on a phone. Fix missing content before sending visitors to a new domain.
Add the root domain
Open Settings > Domain. Enter the root domain without www and choose Connect Domain. Read the DNS Setup section that appears; use its actual record names and values, not values copied from another artist’s site.
Update DNS at your provider
Add the records displayed by Beatro in your provider’s DNS manager. Keep unrelated mail records. If an existing website uses conflicting records, plan the change with the person responsible for that site before replacing them.
Verify and open the site
Return to Beatro and choose Check DNS Records. Allow time for changes to become visible and resolve any reported mismatch. After verification, visit the HTTPS address; its certificate is issued automatically on the first visit.
Review the links you share
Check your homepage, music and other public pages under the domain. Copy the generated public smart-link addresses from Link Studio. Update your press kit and social profiles once the destination works.
Check
If verification fails, compare each displayed DNS name and value with the provider’s settings. Avoid repeatedly changing correct records while waiting for an update to become visible.
